Teaching Skills and Practice

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
The successful applicant with have:

1. A love of children.
2. Training in or a knowledge of Steiner Education Primary curriculum.
3. A commitment to spending time to become familiar with the children entering
your class.
4. A demonstrated ability to manage confidently a class of children and to cater for
the different needs of different children.
5. A commitment to take the class for six to seven years and an ability to develop
and foster long-term relationships with the children.
6. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills when relating to
students, teachers, parents and the wider community.
7. An ability to work with the various organisational elements of the school i.e. The
College of Teachers, the Administrative Council and the Parents and Friends
Association .
8. A commitment to the principle of the teacher as a learner .
