Inserting Video into your ePortfolio

see example in ART

I would recommend converting video to Flash video format using Free Studio

As well as converting video from .wmv, or .avi to flash format Free Studio includes a flash video player.
On completion of video conversion it creates an example html page with the html code required to embed the flash player.

Download Free Studio and install it on your home computer. When installing Free Studio I recommend that you turn off the toolbar. This will cause Free Studio to nag you but in general toolbars are a waste of browser screen space and not a good idea.

Turn off the Toolbar

Once you have installed Free Studio start the DVD & Video tool

Video Converter

Then open the Free Video to Flash Converter

Free Video to Flash

Create a new folder for each video clip

Free Studio provides example html code for you to use.

Example html code

Copy the example code into your ePortfolio in Source mode

Note: the start_frame.jpg is black you can edit this jpg file and replace it with a frame from the video if you use VLC media player to save a snapshot from the video.

I have done this in the ART example.
